Common questions about working with APEX M LTD.
If something below isn't covered, send the question through the contact form and we'll reply directly — usually within one business day.
What is APEX M LTD?
APEX M LTD is a UK-registered limited company (Companies House No. 15220750) operating as a building & construction contractor from a London registered office at 128 City Road, EC1V 2NX. The company is director-led by Sujata Gurun.
Where do you work?
Primarily Greater London and the surrounding home counties. Projects outside that area are considered on a case-by-case basis, with travel and accommodation costs discussed as part of the proposal.
What kind of projects do you take on?
Refurbishments (single rooms or whole properties), repairs and maintenance, kitchens and bathrooms, single-storey rear extensions, loft conversions, structural openings, and selected commercial fit-outs and bespoke joinery.
Do you visit the property before quoting?
Yes for anything beyond a half-day repair visit. The £89 Site Survey & Written Estimate package is the formal route — we attend the property, measure, photograph, and follow up with a written estimate. For very small jobs, photographs and measurements over email are usually enough.
How are prices fixed?
Every project (other than the productised repair visit) runs against a written specification and a fixed proposal. Variations are only chargeable when the scope itself changes and is re-agreed in writing.
How long do projects take?
A repair visit is a single half-day. A single-room refurbishment typically runs 1–3 days. Full-property refurbishments run from a few days to several weeks. Extensions and conversions are scoped individually and run from several weeks upward.
How are payments handled?
Payments are processed by Stripe. Productised packages are paid in full at booking via the pricing page. Larger projects are typically structured as a deposit at booking and a balance on completion, agreed in writing before any payment is taken.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
No. APEX M LTD does not operate subscription plans, maintenance memberships, or recurring billing. Every commission is a one-off, fixed-scope project. Landlords with regular needs typically use the half-day repair visit as required.
Are you insured?
Yes. Public liability insurance is maintained and certificate details can be supplied on request before any project is instructed.
What if my project doesn't fit one of the listed packages?
The Bespoke Build / Extension Project package exists for commissions that fall outside the standard productised scope. We survey first, write a specification, and price the work as a defined project against it.
Can I supply my own materials?
Yes. We're happy to install client-supplied materials where they meet a reasonable standard. Where APEX M LTD is asked to procure materials, we use established trade suppliers and the cost is itemised in the proposal.
Do you handle Building Regulations and planning?
Yes. Where a project falls under Building Regulations, party-wall, or planning consent, we co-ordinate with the appropriate engineers, architects and consultants under a clear written engagement and keep you copied in throughout.
Do you work for landlords and managing agents?
Yes — turnaround refurbishments between tenancies and reactive maintenance visits make up a significant share of the work. We're set up to invoice corporate landlords and agencies on standard payment terms.
How far in advance should I get in touch?
Repair visits can often be scheduled within 1–2 weeks. Refurbishments are typically scheduled 3–6 weeks ahead. Larger build projects and extensions are usually planned 2–3 months in advance to allow for design, consents, and procurement.
How do you handle changes to the scope once a project has started?
Any scope change is captured in writing as a variation, with the cost and timeline impact set out before the additional work proceeds. The full process is set out in the Terms of Service.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Cancellation terms are set out in full on the Refund Policy page — including how cancellations are handled at the planning stage, after materials have been ordered, and during the build phase.
Where can I read your privacy and cookie policies?
Both are available from the footer of every page — the Privacy Policy explains how enquiry information is handled, and the Cookie Policy explains how this website uses cookies.
